CJS roofing did an outstanding job on my roof project. The storms that swept through our region in March 2025 did a number on our house. The shingles were damaged and the insurance adjuster recommended replacement. We got 4 bids over several weeks from reputable St. Louis based businesses. CJS Roofing was chosen based on their bid and reputation. Their contract was thorough and addressed our roofing needs. It also explained the costs should additional hidden defects be present, such as rotted roof sheathing. No added frills or high pressure by their representative. Just basic questions about what we needed or wanted performed, what type of roof materials, and explanations of the differences in product lines. Very informative. Because of the high demand for their services, there was a waiting list. All the reputable businesses we contacted are stacked up, but quality and pricing are very important. When they came out to perform the work, they started around 7 am and finished by 3 pm. Our home is a ranch style over 2200 sq ft under roof. The roof looks beautiful, and the property was free of any debris when they were finished. I can only give CJS Roofing compliments for our experience with them. Their pricing and quality are outstanding!
I had a new roof put on about 2 weeks ago and I could not have been more pleased.
Everything went smoothly. The workers showed up on time and they completed everything in one day. This was the replacement of the house roof, garage & deck roofs and a few extra things we requested.
The process of scheduling the work was great also. When I had question they always replied in a timely manner and when they said they were going to do something, they did!.

CJS replaced our roof last year. We were very impressed throughout: their work quality was great, their cleanup was thorough, their bid was very competitive, and their communication throughout was absolutely outstanding.
I particularly appreciated two things. First, they were aboveboard in their handling of our insurance claim: instead of sweetening their bid by helping us "save on our deductible" (an illegal but increasingly common practice involving submitting a higher-priced fake receipt to the insurance company, which another company had proposed to us in their own bid), they instead made their bid stand out by gifting additional work beyond the scope of the claim. Second, when, a full year later, I had questions about an installation decision they had made, they came out to our house in person the very next day to explain the decision in detail (Ryan was very knowledgeable!), while also making clear they would be happy to change that decision if we still disagreed with it (we didn't). Given that CJS didn't stand to make any money from making the time for this visit, I very much appreciated it.

I will try to make this short.. But CJS Roofing was one of the best contractors that I have worked with. Between Chris, Ryan and Denise they were all there to answer any and all of my questions. The day before the job, Ryan called me to let me know they would be there around 6:15. Sure enough, they were at my house at 6:15 with the first person on the roof by 6:21. These guys worked quick and diligently and had our new roof fully on by 11am. They were cleaned and packed up by noon.
I would highly recommend this local, family owned and operated company to everyone... and I do every time I hear of someone talking about needing a new roof.

CJS replaced my roof and gutters after a recent storm. The work was done quickly and professionally. They were great to work with and kept me up to date on the schedule. They even handled submitting the paperwork to my insurance company.

CJS Roofing replaced our roof after we had storm damage. They came out the next day and tarped the damaged area to prevent water damage. After the insurance company inspected the damage, they came back and put shingles on the damaged area. After settling with the insurance, they came back to put new shingles on the whole roof. They were very responsive and did everything we asked them to do. Their employees were hard workers and did a great job. I would highly recommend them for any of your roofing needs.

CJS was a life saver! We needed a bid for a new roof ASAP for the possible purchase of my son's first house... they came out the next day. Then we needed the roof put on and completed by closing (the next week!) ... the seller went with CJS's bid/company because the proposal was fair and reasonable. They had several proposals to choose from. Best of all... the roof looks GREAT! The house also needed new gutters/downspouts and they had that project completed the following week after closing- looks great too! CJS was a critical piece to my son getting his first home.
This is the second time we have used CJS Roofing. They are very professional and quick to respond to questions. They moved up our job when we told them we were getting gutters installed at the end of the month. They provided samples to pick styles and colors. Our roof is a very difficult roof to shingle and CJS had a rough day about two years ago and the job site was left unacceptable. They made some mistakes, but they made it right. I just had a small roof issue two years after project completion and they came the next day and took care of it. Two years ago, I would have never thought I would recommend them but as we all know great businesses may have a bad day, but they keep working at it until they take care of their customers and CJS has proven this to me and gained my trust.

We had used CJS 10 years ago to install a new roof in South County. We thought CJS did a great job. Quality shingle, expertly installed. At that time, a neighbor came over and asked Chris to look at her roof, she thought she might need a new one. Chris got on her roof, came back down the ladder and told her "you don't need a roof but there are some flashing areas that need caulking". He went back up and caulked. Told her no charge since he was standing in my yard anyway.
Two years ago we moved to Wentzville. We were warned by the house inspector that there were multiple issues with the shingle job the builder had put on. After living with it for two years (and praying during every wind storm that multiple shingles would not tear off) we figured we would have to bite the bullet and replace. I called, figuring they might not work this far out in St. Charles. I was thrilled that they were happy to give me a quote.
Once again their crew was fast, efficient and friendly. The roof looks fantastic. They installed ridge vent at the same time.

The first time I contacted CJS Roofing we had some shingles blown off during a storm. They were very responsive, helpful and quick to fix the problem. Now, several years later, I was looking for a roof replacement and got several companies to look and bid on the work. CJS Roofing was again the most responsive and helpful company with a very reasonable bid when all were considered. When everything was finalized for the work to take place, I was quoted 4-6 weeks, but they called in three weeks with an opening and did a full tear-off and installed new underlayment, vents, ridge, gutter screens and shingles in one day. Cleanup was equally as good. I would fully recommend CJS Roofing to family, friends or anyone needing good quality roofing.

I just wanted you to know how impressed I am with Ryan. He just stopped by to have a look at our roof and his professional opinion on our roof was very enlightening and easy for a layperson like myself to understand. I also appreciated his straight forward, “This is what it is” with no pressure to replace the roof immediately. Ryan let me know that our roof is sound and aging well, but will need to be replaced sooner-than-later. I may call back and have Ryan do the minimal repairs he found, but he also let me know the remedies are easy and I could do them if I wanted to get up on the roof. My climbing on roof days are limited if not over. ???? I told him the $250 minimum seemed a bit high for the work he said needed to be done (we’re missing three tabs), but I would let him know if I wanted him to do the work. He also let me know that there was no damage to the roof that would warrant an insurance claim, which is also valuable information for me. They had mismeasured the roof and missed some things and Denise was able to get them to adjust the numbers to match the actual size and needs of the roof. Both Chris & Denise were great about answering questions I had and Chris came back out to check on a concern I had with the skylights. Used CJS to replace our 20+ year old roof in June, 2023. All members of the team were professional, answered all of my questions, and dealt with the unexpected very well. We were very satisfied with the quality of the installation and the clean up after they finished the work. They came back the next day to finish up some detail work and made sure we were happy. Definitely worth considering this family run company for your roof.
They are real pro's. Free estimate, then returned with samples, gave addresses so we could view their work before we signed the contract. Fully insured with all the certificates. Not the cheapest estimate but was the best value, including free vents and delivery to promise. Crews were polite and cleaned up with nail magnets each night. Owners came to site often and did the final walk around looking for nails. Ea ch of concerns during the job was addresses candidly, honestly and a solution was found that had mutual benefit. If you need a roof let these guys be the proof.
I highly recommend giving CJS roofing a call if you are looking to get a new roof. They did an excellent job helping me through the entire process since this was the first time I was replacing my roof. The communication was excellent, I never waited long to have any questions answered via email or over the phone. They are true professionals and their work is second to none! A note of thanks for the great job your company did putting a new roof on our home. The whole process of dealing with the insurance company was greatly appreciated. As I watch my neighbor across the street getting their new roof, it makes me even more appreciative of choosing your company over the company that my neighbor is using. Your men worked consistently and diligently to complete the job in a timely manner. The roofers working on my neighbor's home appear timid and uncomfortable working on a roof. Hopefully the job will be completed today prior to the forecast of rain for the weekend. In order for the completion to be done today, they need to work a lot harder today than they did yesterday. I have received comments from several of my neighbors about the steps your company appeared to take to prevent damage to landscaping, the quick work of getting the new roof on, the clean up and of course, how great the new roof looks.
